Apply to Help at 6 Montagu Street

We have helpers most of the year, and especially through summer. That's great, but it does mean we'd like a way to plan our visits, the necessary shopping and when we can say yes or no to people wanting to come. And so we will tend to prefer people who have filled in this form in advance as an expression of commitment, patience and diligence. Complete this form and you'll make our life easier and we can maximise the chance of our making your stay wonderful! Believe us, most are!

If this feels like and interrogation or a job application, we apologise. We love most of the guests we get, but have had some pretty shocking guests too and that disrupts our family life rather badly. If it's not worth your time engendering trust, it's probably not worth our time either.

This Form

What do think of this form? Really!? Is it a real pain to fill out, can we improve it, do you understand why we're using it? It's an experiment in vetting applications working quite openly on the basis that we'd rather have fewer top quality helpers we can share great times with than weather the occasional really bad sour experience that seems always to be rooted in a completely mismatched set of expectations and understandings.

Please personalize the subject line. This form emails your submission to me with this subject. I'm far more likely to read it if you make the subject personal, and my spam filter will eat it up if you don't. Like it or not SpamBots fill this form in all the time (and are too stupid to fix this subject). Don't look like spam.

Subject:   Change this subject or you may never hear from me!

If you don't hear back from me by email inside of a week, something is awry. Try sending me an email to see what's up.

P.S. Particularly if you're applying in peak period (November to March), just filling this form out will not guarantee you a spot here alas.
